Architecture
Although partially covered, this project presents the concept of "outdoors", organized around a beautiful central square.
The focal point of the centre is an elegant tower that reflects the elements of traditional Madeiran architecture.
It is worth mentioning the extensive green area of the rooftop gardens, which have a panoramic view of the sea.
The anchor stores are a Pingo Doce Supermarket, Zara, C&A and Sport Zone.
The restaurant consists of 5 restaurants with a common terrace with 450 seats.
There is a ZON Lusomundo Cinema with 6 rooms and about 1000 seats.
Environment
The Madeira Forum was the first Commercial Center of Madeira to obtain environmental certification, based on standart ISO14001. The Forum Madeira is located in a tourist, leisure and residential area of reference of Funchal and, therefore, with increased responsibilities with regard to environmental and civic conduct policies.
This recognition was attributed after several months of work that led to the implementation of all the rules and procedures defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), meeting all legal requirements in this aspect and continuously improving its performance for the benefit of the environment.
The Certification obtained in 2008, based on the ISO14001 standart, attests to the effectiveness of the environmental management system implemented and the commitment made by forum Madeira to continuously comply with the Environmental Policy established for the management and operation of shopping centers and to provide the necessary resources for its compliance, maintenance and continuous improvement. It was the 1st Commercial Center of Madeira with certified Environmental Management System.
Environmental concerns are evident in all centers managed by Multi Mall Management, a leading company in the management of commercial enterprises and responsible for managing a total of 11 shopping centers in Portugal.
